For those of you outside the Lone Star State, one of the things that makes the Houston Livestock Show unique is the American breeds are really big there. Several of them, including Brahman, Brangus and Simbrah actually identify their open shows as International Shows, and working along with the HLSR International Committee, these shows bring in a large contingent of foreign breeders and buyers. Some of the groups make side trips to ranches in the state while they are here as well as the show. And the guests are well taken care of in an International Suite, hosted by the committee.
